Built on Experience. Guided by Vision.

A partnership built over decades

Randall Hinton Development began with a shared vision between longtime friends who believed real estate could shape how people live, work, and experience places.

Founded in 2020, the company brings together more than 40 years of combined leadership experience across commercial real estate, investment, entrepreneurship, law, and business operations. That experience allows our team to identify opportunities and create elevated developments that reflect the character of each market we serve.

From luxury residences and mixed-use destinations in Northwest Arkansas to projects across Colorado and California, our work is guided by a commitment to thoughtful design, lasting quality, and creating communities where people want to spend their time.

While each member of our team brings a unique perspective, we share the same approach: understand the opportunity, respect the surroundings, and create developments that enrich the everyday experience.

Our Leadership

Scott Mason began his industrial real estate career in 1988 and quickly established himself as the preeminent expert in warehouse sales & leasing in Northern California. Scott founded Calco Commercial in 2011 which is the leading industrial real estate firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Scott remains Calco's Founder & President.

Scott has leveraged his expertise in commercial real estate in the formation of Randall Hinton Development. Scott brings his comprehensive skill set including land use strategy, development, leadership, negotiations, contract management and design aesthetic to each project and acquisition.

Scott is a proud graduate of Arizona State University (B.A., go Sun Devils!) and is an avid golfer and motorcyclist. He has been married to Karin Mason for 32 years and has two grown children.

Bill Butler began his career as a transactional attorney with Baker & Hostetler in Los Angeles. He has served as CEO of two logistics companies, and held senior executive positions with business software companies Ariba (acquired by SAP) and DemandTec (acquired by IBM). Since then, Bill held board and advisory positions with numerous software companies.

In 2018, Bill fulfilled his childhood dream and co-founded Randall Hinton Development. RHD develops and acquires multi-family, multi-use and flex warehouse properties in Northwest Arkansas and Colorado.

Bill is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder (B.S., Go Buffs!) and University of Southern California (J.D., Fight On!), and he enjoys travel with his wife Anne and their five children.

Supported by trusted partners and industry experts

Successful development requires collaboration. Randall Hinton Development works alongside experienced advisors and partners who provide expertise in areas including capital markets, asset management, accounting, and strategic planning.

Together, our extended team helps guide projects from initial opportunity through long-term success.

Scott Kilkenny splits his time between Colorado, Arkansas and Arizona with occasion trips to California and Iowa. He started his professional life at 12 as a local television news reporter in Omaha, NE and it’s been all glory since then.

While studying at UCLA and navigating a degree in Bioengineering, he realized his love of science, the outdoors and independence lead him to a career in environmental management for energy companies traveling the US every week. He served his passion in real estate by first owning several rental properties in the states he travelled to connect locally before ever owning a place of his own.

He moved back to Colorado and partnered with his brother to form LiveForward, a development company where he really dove into the design of residential and commercial new builds and their contextual relation to urban neighborhoods. He continues to seek projects that create community and residents truly call home.

Tom Croke launched his career as an attorney in 1990s Los Angeles. While it was an interesting time and place to practice law, he soon discovered he had little passion for litigation and instead turned his energy toward building and scaling companies.

For the past 30 years, he has worked for, led, and co-owned businesses across diverse industries including software, CPG, construction services, and health & wellness. Tom’s true passion, however, lies in real estate development, a consistent investment focus since the early 2000s.

Nearly every project has been developed and managed in close partnership with his trusted colleagues at Randall Hinton, men he has known, collaborated with, and relied upon for decades.
